COUNCILLOR CALLS FOR REVIEW OF DUNGOWAN DAM COSTINGS
Tamworth councillor Russell Webb will use tomorrow night’s council meeting to call on the state government to review the costings of the Dungowan Dam upgrade.
The federal government has allocated $75-million, on the proviso it would be matched by its state counterparts.
But a recent feasibility study revealed the project would cost around $400-million.
Councillor Webb now wants the state government to engage an independent quantity surveyor to review the cost of building a new Dungowan Dam and associated pipeline.
