CARAVAN ROLLOVER CAUSES HIGHWAY DELAYS

Meanwhile, four holidaymakers are lucky to have escaped a terrifying caravan rollover near Byron Bay.

The group was travelling south on the Pacific Highway, exiting the Saint Helena tunnel, when the driver lost control.

Witnesses pulled over to assist – directing traffic until emergency services arrived.

“Plenty of people pulled up both sides of the road and helped everybody.”

“Could have been a lot worse, different time of the day maybe.”

The driver and passengers were assessed on scene – nobody was injured or hospitalised.
