DRUGS AND AMMUNITION LOCATED IN CENTRAL COAST POLICE SEARCH

Police have uncovered drugs, weapons, ammunition and over $3,000 in cash during a vehicle search on the Central Coast.

Officers stopped an Audi on Sparks Road at Hamlyn Terrace around 7pm last night, after an attempt to avoid a random breath test.

It’s alleged the 43-year-old driver failed a random drug test and was placed under arrest.

A search of the vehicle allegedly uncovered ice, cocaine, steroids, a baton and several rounds of ammunition.

The man was charged with a raft of offences including driving whilst disqualified.

He was refused bail and will face court today.
