MAJOR FUNDING BOOST FOR PORT MACQUARIE’S COASTAL WALK

A total of $1.5 million will be injected into Port Macquarie’s scenic coastal walk in a bid to attract more visitors to the region.

The upgrade will be made more user-friendly with the inclusion of wider walkways and more accessible paths.

“We’ll also see investment in interpretive signage for example. Exercise equipment, we do have some spaces for those already, water bubblers along the way. So these will all make for a much better experience” – Leslie Williams, State Member for Port Macquarie.

The funding will be delivered through a partnership between the state government and Port Macquarie-Hastings Council.
