GAV’S WEATHER: HEAVY FLOODING RAIN EXPECTED

A coastal rain event is now developing, and will deliver heavy rain to the east coast with the main area of concern between the Central Coast and Coffs Coast.

Heavy flooding rain is now expected from Newcastle to Port Macquarie, with the Manning also under major threat.

Very heavy rain causing flooding is expected for the Newcastle region from tonight, extending north through tomorrow.

This system will continue until Friday.
