BALLINA MAYOR BACKS MOVE AWAY FROM SHARK NETS

Ballina’s mayor has joined a growing chorus of voices, calling for the State Government’s second north coast shark net trial, to be its last.

Councillor David Wright says although the trials have provided scientists with a wealth of information, technology has advanced enough to replace the nets.
