Local Labor representative Daniel Mookhey is calling on the Nationals to step up and make regional landing slots a priority.
It comes as the Commonwealth looks at designs for Sydney’s second airport..
While local services have been thrust into the spotlight after Qantas announced it would reduce services between Tamworth and Sydney by 10 flights per week.
Mookhey also noting the expense of regional flights, saying it’s significantly cheaper to fly from Sydney to Singapore per kilometre, than Sydney to Tamworth or Armidale.
