MAN KILLED IN NORTH COAST CRASH

An 88-year-old man has died after the vehicle he was driving collided head-on with a prime mover, on the New South Wales North Coast.

Just before 7pm on Friday, a Toyota Sedan and a Volvo prime mover, travelling in opposite directions collided on the Pacific Highway at Broadwater.

The driver of the sedan died at the scene, while the 51-year-old truck driver was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.

It’s the second fatal accident on that stretch of road in a week, after a motorcyclist was killed last weekend.
