An off-duty police officer has been assaulted, after trying to restrain a man on the Central Coast.
Just before 9 o’clock on Monday evening, a man was spotted walking through the front yard of a number of properties in Copacabana, allegedly threatening residents.
Two off-duty police officers attempted to arrest the man, where it’s alleged the 29-year-old became increasing aggressive and assaulted one of the officers.
He was charged with multiple offences including 2 counts of assaulting an officer in execution of duty.
