LGBTQI ADVOCATE NAMED NEWCASTLE WOMEN OF THE YEAR

Newcastle woman Michelle Lancey has been named as the Local Woman of the Year. The award was presented today by Newcastle MP Tim Crakanthorp.

A strong advocate for the rights of the LGBTQI community, Michelle is the founder of the Newcastle branch of the Parents and Friends of Lesbians And Gays (PFLAG) group.

The Woman of the Year Awards showcase inspirational stories of dedication and extraordinary achievement of women in NSW.
