MT KAPUTAR FIRE: CREWS TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EASING CONDITIONS

The Mount Kaputar bushfire north-east of Narrabri, has burnt through more than 3000-hectares as night falls on day five.

Easing conditions have allowed crews to undertake more back burning in an effort to contain the fire.

Firefighters say residents will notice an increase of smoke with more back-burning tomorrow, as they take full advantage of the weekends more mild conditions.
