SECOND TEEN CHARGED OVER ALLEGED THEFT OF LAKE MACQUARIE FIREARMS
A 17-year-old boy has been charged following an investigation into the theft of a number of shotguns at Lake Maquarie.
Police say five shotguns were stolen from a home at Hillsborough in late December.
At around 9.30am today, police attended a home in Windale where they arrested the 17-year-old boy, who they say is an accomplice in the crime.
He was charged with aggravated break and enter and will appear at a Children’s Court tomorrow.
It follows the arrest of a 16-year-old boy the day after the robbery, who was charged with aggravated break and enter.
Four of the firearms have so far been recovered.
