PEDESTRIAN STRUCK AND KILLED BY A BUS IN NAMBUCCA HEADS

A pedestrian has died after being struck by a bus on the Mid North Coast.

Police say the man, aged in his 20s, was hit on the Old Pacific Highway, near Florence Wilmont Drive, in Nambucca Heads just before midday today.

He was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.

There were a small number of passengers on the bus at the time with no reports of injury.

The driver was treated for shock and taken to hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.

Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact police.
