Following months of community outcry one of Tamworth’s leading midwifery services is now back up and running.
20 new mums have been accepted into the Midwifery Group Practice – which allows expectant mothers to see the same midwife throughout their pregnancy.
The popular program was put on hold last year, after three midwives resigned.
Hunter New England Health says nine new midwives have been recruited, while five student midwives will also take part in the program.
