A 15 year old girl has died after being struck by a car at Brandy Hill north of Raymond Terrace.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 7:30 this morning.
The driver believed to be in his 40’s was taken for mandatory testing and is assisting police with inquiries.
Motorists are urged to avoid the area as road closures are in place.
