O’DONOVAN LEFT OUT OF JETS SQUAD FOR CITY CLASH

The Newcastle Jets have announced their squad for Thursday’s clash with City in Melbourne and as expected, striker Roy O’Donovan has been left out for at least another week.
Ernie Merrick admits the Irish import is itching to return from a groin injury and may feature against Victory in Round 19, if he completes a full week of training.
Meanwhile Riley McGree, Nick Cowburn and Joey Champness were all named after returning from international duty with the Australian Under 23 side.
Port Macquarie’s Angus Thurgate misses out, after making two straight appearances off the bench.
