North West fire crews have been busy battling several blazes today.
There was a close call at Quirindi, but that fire was quickly contained.
Meanwhile, properties remain under threat as a bushfire moves towards Bundarra, with around 50 firefighters and 5 aircraft, working to contain it.
To the west, the Newell Highway remains closed between Narrabri and Coonabarabran due to a bushfire at The Pilliga.
15 aircraft and more than 70 firefighters are working to control that blaze, which has already burnt through more than 33,000 hectares.
