COUNCIL NOT TO SUPPORT THE GREAT KOALA NATIONAL PARK

Nambucca Shire Council has resolved NOT to support the Great Koala National Park as the proposal stands.

The Great Koala National Park looks to convert State Forests in Nambucca, Bellingen and Coffs Harbour into protected areas.

Council voted against supporting the concept, unless it can demonstrate the number of jobs created will exceed the number of jobs lost in the timber industry.
