PARKER PUTS HERSELF IN POSITION FOR COMM GAMES CALL-UP

An incredible effort by Hunter paratriathlete Lauren Parker today.

After a training accident confined her to a wheelchair last April, Parker has all but confirmed a spot on the Australian Commonwealth Games Team.

Parker finished second behind Gold Coast’s Sarah Tait at today’s race at the Paratriathlon OTU Continental Championships in St Kilda.

The event was the last chance to impress the selectors before the Games, and should see her nominated for the Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast later this year.
