PASSENGER KILLED AND DRIVER CRITICAL AFTER ERINA CRASH

A single-vehicle crash on the Central Coast has left one woman dead and a man in critical condition in hospital.

Emergency services were called to the Central Coast Highway in Erina, after reports a vehicle left the roadway and struck water pipes at around 10am today.

The female passenger died at the scene, while the male driver was treated at the scene.

He is expected to be airlifted to a Sydney hospital.

Any witnesses are being urged to contact police.
