SEARCH ON FOR MISSING SWIMMER AT CLARENCE RIVER

Police and emergency services have recommenced a search for a man who went missing while swimming in a river on the North Coast late yesterday.

The man, aged 76, was last seen in the Clarence River at Heifer Station, about 70km west of Grafton, just after 6pm.

A search was initiated after he failed to make it back to the nearby camp grounds, but was suspended due to poor light last night.
