ARMIDALE’S SAM JENNER PICKS UP SILVER MEDAL IN TIME TRIAL

Armidale cyclist Sam Jenner has claimed the silver medal in the men’s under-23 time trial, at the Cycling Australia Road National Championships.

Riding for Mitchelton-Bike Exchange, the 20-year-old topped the time-sheets, before team-mate Callum Scotson came in just under Jenner’s time.

On Saturday he’ll compete in the road race, where he’ll look to defend his under-23 Road National Championship crown.
