Melbourne Cup winning jockey – and local resident – Corey Brown will be the special guest at next week’s Harrington Cup.
Manning Valley Race Club CEO Brian Leggett says he’ll be honoured for his second win in the race that stops the nation.
“We of course we have our Corey Brown pavilion in the race course, which was built and named after him when he won his first Melbourne Cup in 2009 and we’ll be putting another plaque up on the Corey Brown function centre to commemorate his winning.
The Harrington Cup is the club’s biggest event of the year.
Racing begins at 1:50pm next Thursday.
