A man’s been stabbed in the neck and torso during an attack in the Newcastle suburb of Merewether.
The 27-year-old was standing near his car in Ulick Street when he was approached by a man around 11.30 last night.
He was stabbed several times in his neck, chest and arms during a struggle.
The injured man, who’s in a stable condition, was driven to John Hunter Hospital, after phoning a friend.
Police have been combing a crime scene on Friday morning, as their investigation continues.
