DRIVER TO FACE COURT AFTER FATAL NARRABRI VEHICLE ACCIDENT
A man has passed away in hospital, and another will face court, two weeks after a single-vehicle crash in the north-west of the state.
Police say a Nissan Maxima with four men on board left the road and hit a tree on the Kamilaroi Highway at Baan Baa, about 30km south of Narrabri, at around 4am on the 24the of November.
One of the rear passengers was airlifted to the John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, but he died on Friday the 8th of December.
The driver and other rear passenger were treated at the scene by paramedics, while the front passenger was uninjured.
On Wednesday last week, the 35-year-old driver attended Blacktown Police Station where he was issued with a Court Attendance Notice for dangerous driving occasioning death, and negligent driving occasioning death.
He will appear at Blacktown Local Court in January.
