VETERANS CRICKET CATCHING ON IN REGION
Senior cricketers from Tamworth and Gunnedah donned the whites today in the northern conference over-60s competition.
With Gunnedah sending the home side into bat after winning the toss, Tamworth posted 310 from their innings, with the visitors managing just 179 in reply.
While the social aspect plays a major role behind the players participation, their inherent competitive nature is certainly still alive and kicking.
More than 100 players are now involved within the Tamworth Veteran Cricket community.
