HUNTER HELPS MAKE A MARK ON SALVO’S CHRISTMAS APPEAL
The Hunter is being reminded there’s still time to help spread festive cheer, to those who need it most.
The Salvation Army’s Christmas Appeal wraps up next Wednesday, with the first lot of gifts, collected by the Newcastle Permanent, today handed over.
“This year they’re a little bit slow so there’s still opportunity to head along to your local branch to donate food or toys in particular,” Mark Everitt from Salvation Army.
Last year the appeal helped around 15-hundred local families.
