GIBSON HELPS THUNDER TO BIG WIN OVER RENEGADES IN WBBL

Sam Bates was left out of the Thunder’s line-up for today’s WBBL match against the Renegades, but fellow Hunter bowler Maisy Gibson made her presence felt.
“She gathered it beautifully, took aim and went bang and I’m surprised we haven’t seen a little jig and a dance from Maisy.”
She followed that up with figures of one for 20 from her four overs.
“Gibson now bowls, big shout for LBW, she’s got the breakthrough and Carney is out.”
Melbourne was all out for 114, in reply the Thunder reached the target with eight wickets to spare.
