WOMAN ALLEGEDLY TWICE THE LEGAL LIMIT WITH FIVE CHILDREN IN VEHICLE

A woman has allegedly recorded a blood alcohol level twice the legal limit, while driving a vehicle with five child passengers on the Mid North Coast.

The Toyota Land Cruiser was pulled over on The Lakes Way in Tuncurry at around 5:340pm on Sunday, after police say the car was travelling 68km/h in a 50km/h zone.

A roadside breath test allegedly returned a positive result, and when she was taken to Forster Police Station, she returned an alleged reading of 0.110.

The woman, a 28-year-old woman from Bundaberg in Queensland, was charged with mid-range drink driving and exceeding the speed limit

The five children in the vehicle are reported to range in age from an infant to primary school age.
