A Lake Macquarie driver, allegedly three-times the legal blood-alcohol limit, has led police on a pursuit after he was recorded travelling at 90km/h in a 60km/h zone.
The pursuit started when the 24-year-old was allegedly detected speeding on Fishery Point Road in Morisset.
Police also allege he was carrying a quantity of cocaine, and that he returned a blood-alcohol reading of 0.153 at Toronto Police Station.
His licence was suspended, and he was charged with Skye’s Law, high-range drink-driving, and possessing a prohibited drug.
The arrest came as part of a drink-driving operation in the Hunter Region over the weekend.
