SOUTHERLY WIND HITS CRESCENT HEAD FIRE

Residents living near the bush fire burning at Crescent Head face an uneasy night, even though the fire has once again been downgraded to ‘advice’ level.

A southerly wind is pushing the fire north, edging closer to homes.

The Rural Fire Service is warning people to take extra precautions, with the wind changing unpredictably.

Back burning along Maria River Road, and Illa-Langi Road is being under taken by the R-F-S.
