Gunnedah’s rural health centre will be back in action from next Wednesday, with the first new doctor to commence at the practice.
It’s welcome news for residents, after the centre closed its doors more than five months ago.
While the closure was partly due to the centre’s inability to maintain doctors, it’s now taken a turn in the right direction with another doctor set to start in January.
Mackellar Care Services formally took over the health centre last month, with plans to keep it well afloat into the future.
