ADELAIDE ARCHBISHOP’S TRIAL BEGINS

The trial of Australia’s most senior Catholic cleric to be charged with concealing child sex offences has begun in Newcastle.

Philip Wilson’s lawyers had argued the 67-year-old was suffering from Alzheimer’s, but a medical expert found he was fit.
