THIEVES LEFT EMPTY HANDED IN ATTEMPTED ATM BREAK-IN

An ATM has been damaged during an attempted break-in on the Gold Coast.

Police say the standalone ATM at a shopping centre in Palm Beach had its metal roof and side wall damaged shortly after 2:30am today.

Despite the damage, the ATM withstood the attack and no money was stolen.
