POLICE HUNT FOR TWO MEN AFTER BAKERY HOLD UP

Two men are on the run after an armed robbery at a Shortland bakery early this morning.

At around 4:30, a bandit wielding an axe stormed the Sandgate Road premises, threatening an employee before a second man fled with the cash register.

No one was injured.
