COUNTRY MUSIC STAR TUNES INTO RECYCLING

Recycling isn’t the first thing you associate with the Country Music Festival, but each year a staggering eight tonnes of recyclable material is collected during the 10-day event.

Today country music star Troy Cassar-Daley hit Tamworth to launch the ‘Tune into Recycling’ campaign, which has now been successfully running for 16 years.

“It got to a stage how do we give back to the town, when it’s not just festival time. How do we give back and keep it beautiful and make sure we encourage people to recycle.”

During next year’s festival, thousands of campers will be given yellow bags to recycle with… while this morning, fans also got a taste of what else is store come January.
