OZTAGGERS FIND SUCCESS INTERNATIONALLY

Tamworth’s Under 20s women’s Oztag side took out the Under 21s division of the Tag Champions Challenge Cup in Auckland over the weekend.

Their performance also earned them third overall among the women’s teams, competing against those in the opens and seniors divisions.

Locals Geoff Sharpe and Jeff Faint were also part of Port Macquarie’s undefeated Over 45 men’s team.

Tamworth referee Ryan Schmiedel also impressed across the ditch, taking control of the Under 18s grand final.
