SAINSBURY SADDENED BY ANGE’S ABSENCE

Former Mariner and Socceroos defender Trent Sainsbury has spoken out about the departure of coach Ange Postecoglou.

He says he feels let down by the squad’s leading man…wishing he would be by the team’s side in Russia next year.

“We always thought he was going to stick around and see it through then all of a sudden, word comes out through the media which was a bit disappointing, almost like a break up over text.”

Despite his disappointment, Sainsbury praised the passion and commitment Postecoglou brought to the national team.
