A 20-year vision for Newcastle and the lower Hunter has been unveiled by the state government.
The Draft Metropolitan Plan highlights the need for more housing and better connectivity, to move the five council areas forward.
“We’re rethinking and re-looking at what has been our usual practice of just expand and expand, this is about infill and looking at things like density,” Parliamentary Secretary for the Hunter, Scot MacDonald says.
The blueprint’s on public exhibition until the end of February.
