FORTNIGHTLY MEETINGS ON THE AGENDA

Central Coast Council could meet more than once a month in the near future.

A proposal to make meetings fortnightly will be placed on public exhibition next week.

Mayor Jane Smith says meetings are currently running into the early hours of the morning, due to the large number of agenda items.

“I think it just makes sense to divide that workload in half so that we have shorter meetings…that will just make the decision making flow a lot more easily.”

The council oversees a population of more than 335,000 people.
