MAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGEDLY BEATING HIS DOG DEAD

A 51-year-old man has been charged with animal cruelty after allegedly beating his dog to death at Brunswick Heads this morning.

Police say they spoke with the man, who then led officers to the location where he buried the dog.

It’s alleged the dog was tied to a tree and beat over the head.

The man’s since been charged with aggravated animal cruelty.
