19-YEAR-OLD HOSPITALISED IN GOLD COAST ASSAULT

Three men will face a Gold Coast court next month after a man was allegedly assaulted.

Just before 3:30am on Monday, police allege the three men punched and kicked a 19-year-old man on the corner of Orchid Avenue and Cavil Avenue in Surfers Paradise.

Police accuse one of the men, a 19-year-old from Upper Coomera, of knocking the man unconscious, causing him to fall to the ground.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital, and has since been released.

The man from Upper Coomera has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

The two other men involved, both 21, have been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst in company.

The three men will appear in Southport Magistrates Court in December.
