CLARENCE ADVENTURETHON SUCCESS

Melbourne’s James Pretto has taken out the inaugural Clarence Valley Adventurethon held over the weekend.

300 athletes took part in the event which began with a 45-kilometre mountain bike leg in the Bom Bom Forest on Saturday morning.

The 18-kilometre run leg was held in the Gorge at Lilydale in the afternoon followed by a paddle stage on the Clarence River on Sunday.

Queensland’s Kim Beckinsale was the first woman home.
