Central Coast commuters can shorten their journey to Sydney by a fraction this week, with a trial Newcastle express train now running.
The morning service is scheduled to arrive at Wyong at 5.54am and terminate at Central Station within an hour and a half.
It’s part of a broad sweep of changes to public transport with the New South Wales government adding an extra 1500 services across the network.
