YAMBA SEARCH ALLEGEDLY REVEALS DRUGS AND FIREARMS

Illicit drugs and firearms have allegedly been discovered during a property search on the far north coast of the state.

A search warrant was executed at a house on Treelands Drive in Yamba just after 9am yesterday.

10 cannabis plants, cannabis leaf, a .303 firearm and cash were all allegedly uncovered as a result.

A 55-year-old man was arrested and charged with cultivating and supplying a prohibited plant, possessing an unregistered firearm, and dealing with proceeds of crime, among other charges.

He will appear in Mclean Local Court next month.
