HAVE YOUR SAY ON UPGRADES TO THE MAIN STREET OF KEW
Upgrades to the main street of Kew are set to improve safety, accessibility and the overall look of the town.
Now that the impacts of the Pacific Highway bypass are known, Port Macquarie-Hastings council is revisiting plans and calling on the community to have its say.
Upgrades will likely include the installation of new seating, more vegetation and better pedestrian access.
“Certainly Kew is an off take, gateway into the Camden Haven and Lorne Valley. An upgrade to the main street ideally will draw more people off the highway and allow access into the local businesses there and the local community” – Jeffery Sharp – Council’s Strategy and Growth Director
Residents can comment on the plan at drop-in sessions in December.
