CHILDREN REPORTEDLY PHOTOGRAPHED IN COFFS HARBOUR

Police are appealing for information after two men were seen taking photos of children on the Mid North Coast.

In the first instance, two boys, aged nine and 10, were walking on Argyll Street in Coffs Harbour sometime between 7am and 8am on Thursday, when a man was seen taking photos of them.

The man followed the children, before they took refuge inside a service station on the Pacific Highway.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, more than 188cm tall, skinny build, shoulder- length hair, with a tattoo on his shoulder/arm.

In the second incident, a man was seen in bushes taking photos of children on Kurrajong Street, sometime between 5.30pm and 6.30pm on Friday.

It’s believed the man matching the description of the first incident may have been a front-seat passenger in a 1980s or 1990s model black or grey-coloured hatchback with a possible registration starting with BZ.

The driver has only been described as having a moustache.

Police believe the incidents are linked, and are asking anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
