TICKETS TO WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP STOLEN

Hundreds of tickets to the World Rally Championship event in Coffs Harbour have been stolen.

Police say a man falsely claiming to be an employee attended an event office in Coffs Harbour about 6.30pm on Thursday, and left with the tickets.

The tickets have since been cancelled, and have serial numbers 65489, 67675 and 69065.

Anyone who has bought these tickets should contact police immediately.

It’s believed the stolen tickets are being sold around Coffs Harbour, and police would like to speak with anyone with information about the sellers.

The only description police have of the man who took the tickets is that he is of Caucasian appearance, and aged about 40.

Police advise the public to only purchase tickets from official WRC vendors.
