Tamworth residents paused at 11 today, to remember the sacrifice of Australia’s soldiers in the Great War.
Calrossy student Thomas Burke says the efforts on the Western Front aren’t lost upon the younger generations.
“The opportunity of life. All sacrificed for a servitude cut bitterly short for those who will never truly know. Who will never truly understand what it is that they’ve experienced.”
Today marks 99-years since the First World War finished.
