PREMIER LEAGUE FOOTBALL FINAL PUNISHMENTS HANDED DOWN

The final penalties for players involved in a large all-in brawl that erupted during this year’s Premier League Football final are yet to be handed down.

The fight started in the stands and ended up on the pitch, causing the match between Wallis Lake and Macleay Valley to be abandoned and replayed days later.

Wallis Lake went on to win the Grand final, many questioning why players weren’t suspended in time.

“The decisions have neither been fair or unfair, they’ve been what they are and they’ve been part of the process and while I can empathise with some of those comments if indeed they are correct the end result is that we’re moving forward the way that we are” – Football Mid North Coast chairman Mike Parsons.

Some players are expected to appeal the charges but the Wallis Lake side will start the 20-18 season on minus three points.

Meanwhile three spectators have been banned for two years.
